Takmila · collaborator guide
How to reach the decoy editor, sign in, and edit suggestions safely
alongside other collaborators.
1Open the editor
Open https://takmila.pygad.com in any
modern browser, on a computer or phone. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS) — your
browser shows a padlock. Nothing to install.
If the page doesn't load, the server may be down or restarting —
ask the owner.
2Sign in
The owner gives you a username and password. Enter them on the sign-in
screen. Your session stays valid for a week; use Logout (top-right) to end it
sooner. Never share your credentials — every edit is recorded under your name.
After several wrong attempts the login is locked for a while, so type carefully.
3Claim a juz before you edit
Work is split by juz (the 30 collection files). To avoid two people editing the
same juz at once:
- Pick a juz from the dropdown. The header shows its status:
⚠ claimed by … means someone else is on it;
✓ you hold this juz means it's yours.
- Click claim this juz to take a free one. Please choose a juz nobody else holds.
- Click release when you're done so others can pick it up.
- A claim left idle for 30 minutes can be taken over (take over), so forgotten
claims don't block everyone.
If you try to save a juz someone else actively holds, the save
is refused. Claim a free juz instead.
4Edit the suggestions (decoys)
Each screen shows one gap: the full ayah with the missing word highlighted,
and its suggestions (the wrong options shown to the player). The audio always
recites the real word — a wrong option is never recited and never changes the text.
- Type a word in a suggestion box; the editor offers its authentic Qurʾanic
spelling(s) — click one to use it. Every decoy must be a real Qurʾanic word.
- + add suggestion / the ✕ button add or remove options.
- Click any word in the ayah to propose it as a new gap.
- needs work flags a gap for the owner's attention;
drop this gap marks it for removal.
- Use ← / → to move between gaps, or the
surah:ayah jump box.
5Good decoys — the rules
- Never the divine name الله (or its forms) as the missing word.
- Each decoy is a real Qurʾanic word, grammatically matched to the correct word
(same part of speech, tense, number, gender, ending) — plausible but clearly wrong.
- Three distinct words; never a word from the same or an adjacent ayah (that gives it away).
- Keep it reverent and meaningful in context.
6Saving & syncing
Your changes save automatically as you type (and immediately when you flag or
drop a gap). You don't need to do anything to keep them. Sync now (top-right)
pushes everyone's saved work to the shared branch right away; otherwise it syncs on its
own shortly after edits settle. The owner reviews that branch and merges approved
changes into the app.
